L'exemple lexicogràfic en el Diccionari alemany-català de Lluís Batlle i altres

Summary: The purpose of this paper is to give an overview of the theory of the dictionary example in recent German didactic lexicography and to comment on the use of the example in the current German-Catalan dictionaries on the basis of the Diccionari Alemany-Català. Our analysis will comprise three aspects of dictionary examples: a) their number and frequency of use, b) their form and c) their function. The results of this study show the importance of examples for tasks such as acquisition of vocabulary in autonomous and directed learning, text production and reception, and translation.
