The article outlines the central results of the 2021 symposium of the Oldenburg Research Centre for Children and Young People’s Literature "Philosophical questions in the mirror of children and young people’s literature: perspectives from didactics of literature and philosophy". It discusses the considerations presented with regard to two questions: Firstly, wherein consists the special potential of children and young people’s literature for the modelling of linguistic, literary and philosophical educational processes? Secondly, how can this potential be didactically developed and used?
