Alonso de Proaza (1445-1519), professor of rhetoric at the University of València, and the Lullist circle around him mark the beginning of Lullism in València. Proaza is responsible for the early modern editions of Ramon Llull in València, which are reviewed in this article. He was replaced as editor by Joan Bonllavi after the end of his university teaching. The editorial techniques of the two early humanists can be linked to aspects of Llull's philosophy.
