Resum

The fictional world of the novel Mirall trencat is not only "narrated" by a narrator but appears above all through the consciousness of one or more characters in the novel: the fictional world is "reflected". The title of the novel specifies this "reflection" of the fictional world: it does not happen in a flat way, the mirror is broken in such a way (as is clearly seen in the novel) that some of the overlapping pieces are turned. The characteristic of such a mirror is that it reflects the same object from a different perspective one or more times. This image "reflects" exactly the narrative technique used by Mercè Rodoreda in her Mirall trencat.
