El català al "Tesoro de la lengua castellana o española" de Sebastián de Covarrubias

Abstract

The Tesoro de la lengua castellana (Treasure of the Castilian Language) by Sebastián Covarrubias, published in 1611, contains a number of Catalan words, particularly from the Kingdom of València, which can be explained by Covarrubias' direct contact with this region. The article presents a list of the approximately 70 Catalan words and expressions it contains that in some cases are of particular interest for their etymology.
