La ""Peregrinació del Venturós Pelegrí" ab les "Cobles de la Mort"": una sèrie de gravats en set edicions cerverines no datades

Abstract

Summary: Among the volumes published in eighteenth century Cervera, we examine seven editions of the «Peregrinació del Venturós Pelegrí» ab les «Cobles de la Mort», which reproduce the same series of eight woodcuts illustrating some of the events that happen to a visionary pilgrim and a ghost from purgatory. These editions have no date, but they indicate the name of a printer called Emanuel/Emmanuel Ibarra. Some of the ornaments and other formal elements visible on these editions were used by the same printer in other books dating from 1739 to 1747.
