Irregularitat i flexió verbal

Abstract

The article gives a Generative Grammar account of Catalan verb inflection, based on the work of Wheeler (1979) and Mascaró (1983). It analyses a couple of verbs that have traditionally been considered "irregular" or "semi-irregular". It is argued that Generative Grammar may be used to redefine the very concept of irregularity by making explicit types of regularity that had hitherto escaped morphological analysis.
