Morfologia flexiva actual de la Seu d'Urgell i Coll de Nargó: estadis en el procés d'orientalització del català nord-occidental

Abstract

On the basis of a corpus-based investigation, it is shown that a clear "orientalization" of the local dialects can be observed in the two examined locations. With the help of some morphological features it can be observed that among the older generations forms of Northwestern Catalan predominate, whereas the younger generations prefer the forms of Standard Catalan, which is based on East Catalan. This process is more evident in Seu d’Urgell than in Coll de Nargó and seems to extend to some extent to all of Northwestern Catalan.
